The Port of Milford Haven is the UK’s largest energy port handling around 20% of Britain’s seabourne trade in oil and gas. Activities such as cargo handling, ferry operations and fish landing are spread across Milford Dock and Pembroke Port, as well as a first class marina and extensive property portfolio.
The Port, along with the cluster of energy-related businesses along the Waterway, is a key driver of economic activity in Pembrokeshire, supporting over 4,000 jobs. As a Trust Port, all profits are reinvested into improving port infrastructure and services for the benefit of its stakeholders.
In 2015, the Port received a resolution to grant planning consent from Pembrokeshire County Council for its £70 million regeneration project, Milford Waterfront, which will create new exciting attractions, revitalising the waterfront destination by adding a mix of local, regional and national brands within the leisure, retail and dining sectors. The development is anticipated to create around 600 long-term jobs.
